Where is Gir National Park?
Gir National Park, also known as Sasan Gir, is near Talala Gir in the state of Gujarat. It is sixty-five kilometers southeast of Junagadh, forty-three kilometers northeast of Somnath and sixty kilometers southwest of Amreli. More about the location Sasan Gir is famous for the population of pure Asiatic Lions. Apart from the Gir National Park in India, you will find these beasts only in Africa. The distance between Junagadh and Gir is about sixty-five kilometers. You can get there either by train or car. Airline traveling is also a possibility. However, you have to travel a long distance from the airport to the national park on a bus or a cab. The sanctuary encompasses a total area of fourteen hundred and twelve square kilometers.
